Throughout my lifetime I have gathered a wealth of knowledge and experience that has shaped the way I see the world today. I have a stronger and more engaged awareness of social, political, economical and environmental issues and of cultural diversity.
I have gained insight and enlightenment into many challenges that life has thrown my way.
I have had moments that have stirred many emotions, some good and some not so good.
I have taken different roads that have opened the doors to new horizons.
These experiences have served as a source of inspiration to continue to move forward and strive to be the best that I can be.
I love learning and sharing my experiences, knowledge and personal interests with others.
So I’ve made a list of my interests that I’d like to share with you. I hope you find something in this list for yourself.
I'm passionate about helping women succeed in life!
I’m currently developing a life coaching programme so check back here soon.
I love my church.
My family and I are remnants (Mōrehu) of the Ratana established church of New Zealand (Te Haahi Ratana).
Tahupotiki Wiremu Ratana was the founder of the Ratana religious movement which, in the late 1920s, also became a major political movement.
The 8 November 2018 (Te Waru o Noema) will mark 100 Years since the anointing of Tahupōtiki Wiremu Rātana. Preparations for the celebrations are underway. For more information visit Te Waru o Noema website.
I'm actively involved in Politics
I was born into a family with strong values and beliefs when it comes to our Church, our Family and Politics.
A high proportion of the voting population in New Zealand do not vote. They tend to be Māori (Indigenous people), Pacifika people, young people and low income people.
I’m committed to encouraging people to exercise their democratic rights and participate in elections.
In New Zealand, we are proud of our history of being the first Country to give women the vote. For this reason, I believe democracy is a privilege and therefore should not be taken for granted.
I’ll be setting up a website dedicated to encouraging citizens in New Zealand, particularly Māori people to participate in the upcoming elections in 2017 so check back here soon.

I love reading!
As a child and teenager, I wasn’t interested in books. I preferred sports, outdoor activities and just being with my friends. But when I became an adult I discovered reading! Check out my Resource page for some of the books I love.
I love red wine!
I haven’t met too many people that don’t!
I care about our environment!
I try to do my part to take care of our environment by recycling. It’s a small contribution, but it’s a start.
